Natasha’s responsibilities include managing inquiries from prospective tenants, showing suites, signing lease agreements and welcoming new residents.
A graduate of UBC’s Rental Property Management program, Natasha is a professional with experience overseeing building property management. Natasha spent years as a lifeguard and swimming instructor for the City of Burnaby. She points out that, as unlikely as it sounds, her previous job provided her with transferable skills that she uses every day – including working with the public and earning the trust of her clients and co-workers. It also introduced her to people from all walks of life, a perk that she says she also enjoys about her Austeville job.
With its central downtown location, Pacific Palisades attracts all kinds of people who want to make Vancouver their home – from retirees and businesspeople to students and newcomers. Natasha takes a genuine interest in everyone who wants to live at Palisades and says it’s a privilege to meet people who come to her looking for a rental apartment and find a place to call home. “I feel like I’m helping build a community,” she explains.
Pacific Palisades was originally an iconic Vancouver hotel. Austeville purchased the Robson Street property and transformed its two towers into a modern residential rental building with 234 studio and one-bedroom suites (including furnished suites) as well as first-class amenities that include a gym and guest suite for visitors. The units boast large windows and are finished to an exacting standard in the West Coast Modern style.
Natasha says, “The quality and maintenance of Palisades is impeccable; the suites feel brand new, and are large by Vancouver standards. As a bonus, people are always surprised by the lobby – it feels like a high-end hotel!”
Natasha praises Austeville’s amazing team of custodial staff and trades people who, she says, provide an outstanding standard of care for tenants. She adds that maintenance issues with appliances or a leaky faucet are generally resolved within a day.
“One of the biggest things that tempted me to work at Austeville was how well-kept their properties are,” says Natasha. “I’m proud to rent units that I would feel good bringing my friends and family into.”
