    No. We have a strict no pet policy that is non-negotiable.

    Yes. Parking stalls and storage lockers are available for an additional monthly fee.

  • Do you have a charging station for an electric car?

    Yes. We have on-site charging stations for residents.

  • Is there a place to store my bicycle(s)?

    Yes. We have secure bicycle storage available for an additional fee.

  • Is there in-suite laundry?

    The penthouse suites have in-suite laundry. All other residents have access to an on-site laundry facility.

  • How long is the lease for?

    All unfurnished suites are rented on a minimum 1-year fixed lease. After the year is up, the lease continues on a month-to-month basis. All furnished suites are rented on a minimum 3-month fixed lease, after which the lease continues on a month-to-month basis.

  • How old is the building?

    Pacific Palisades was built in 1969 and was fully renovated in 2012.

  • Can we have a barbeque on our balcony?

    No. Barbeques are not allowed on balconies.

  • Can we smoke or vape on our balcony?

    No. Smoking and vaping are prohibited on the balcony, in suites, in the building and anywhere on the property.

  • Can I pay my rent with a credit card?

    No. We require all rental payments to be paid by EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer). For more information, please ask the Building Managers.

  • Can I rent my apartment on vacation-rental websites such as Airbnb?

    No. We do not permit renting suites through vacation-rental websites such as Airbnb.

  • Who owns and manages Pacific Palisades?

    The owner and manager is Austeville Properties Ltd., a family-owned company with roots firmly planted in Vancouver. Austeville has been providing people with the very best in rental accommodation in Greater Vancouver since 1968.

About the building

Pacific Palisades is a former mid-century hotel that has been transformed into a fabulous rental apartment complex with 234 studio and one-bedroom suites. Designed in the West Coast modern style, the timeless apartments at Pacific Palisades are full of light. The streamlined interiors include natural materials such as wood and stone — finishes that rank highly on aesthetic appeal and are durable, functional and environmentally friendly. Each studio and one-bedroom rental apartment has been thoughtfully laid out with maximum space efficiency in mind. Large windows add to the sense of spaciousness while providing stunning views. The protected balconies of all one-bedroom suites blur the line between indoors and out. Austeville Properties values healthy environments and has taken care to integrate sustainability into Pacific Palisades apartments. Low-flow toilets, occupancy sensors, materials with high recycled content, and LED and fluorescent lighting are just some of the eco-friendly design features in each rental unit.

The Commons, Pacific Palisades’ amenities building, offers residents 6,000 sq ft of space, divided into three zones: laundry, fitness and meeting spaces, with free WI-FI throughout. The laundry space is modern and well-equipped, with high-efficiency front-loading washers and EnergyStar dryers, plus a large folding and counter area with barstools. It opens onto a beautiful courtyard. The fitness area includes state-of-the-art equipment and a yoga space. Clerestory windows allow for plenty of natural light. Four meeting rooms with windows facing the courtyard vary in size from 100 to 350 sq ft.
