Chancellor Court makes it easy for renters to live and work at the University of British Columbia’s Point Grey Campus in Vancouver.

Chancellor’s two 13-storey apartment buildings—Ross House and Mackenzie House—offer renters a variety of spacious floorplans, secure living and modern amenities all on the UBC campus. They are the ideal rental apartments for mature students, families or professionals who desire a quiet, secure rental building that puts them within an easy walk or cycle to the heart of Vancouver’s UBC campus, recreational facilities (UBC Aquatic Centre, Thunderbird Winter Sports Centre, University Golf Club), cultural attractions (the iconic Museum of Anthropology, Chan Centre for the Performing Arts, UBC Botanical Garden), shops and services (University Marketplace, Wesbrook Place neighbourhood) and medical facilities (UBC Hospital).

With large one-bedroom, two-bedroom, two-bedroom plus den and three-bedroom penthouse apartments, there is a floorplan to meet virtually every renter’s need. Each rental apartment has an open balcony, from which residents can enjoy bright, natural light and stunning views that include the North Shore Mountains, UBC campus and Vancouver in general.

The two rental towers boast tastefully decorated common areas and numerous modern amenities for all residents to enjoy. There is a brand-new fitness centre in Ross House, an indoor, heated pool and sauna in Mackenzie House, plus recently renovated laundry rooms with high-efficiency washers and dryers in both buildings.

Heat, hot water and electricity are all included in monthly rental fees at Chancellor Court, and many of the apartments have dishwashers plus ample in-suite storage. Penthouse suites have in-suite laundry. Renters will find a convenient car2go station right on site. Austeville also offers residents storage lockers plus bicycle storage.

To ensure peace of mind for renters, Austeville provides onsite resident managers, state-of-the-art secure keyless access and secure, gated parking.

Do you allow pets?
No. We have a strict no pet policy that is non-negotiable.
What utilities are included in the rent?
Heat, hot water and electricity and included in the rent.
Is parking or storage included in the rent?
No. Parking stalls and storage lockers are available for an additional monthly fee. For current pricing, please ask the Building Managers.
Do you have a charging station for an electric car?
No. We do not currently have charging stations for electric cars.
Is there a place to store my bicycle(s)?
Yes. Bicycle storage is available, please see the Building Managers.
Is there in-suite laundry?
The penthouse suites have in-suite laundry. All other residents have access to an on-site coin-operated laundry facility.
How long is the lease for?
All suites are rented on a minimum 1-year fixed lease. After the year is up, the lease continues on a month-to-month basis.
How old is the building?
Chancellor Court was built in 1972/73 with considerable renovations completed in recent years.
Can we have a BBQ on our balcony?
No. BBQs are not allowed on balconies.
Can we smoke on the balcony?
Smoking is prohibited on the balcony, in suites, in the building and anywhere on the property. However, there may be Residents who reside in "grandfathered" units of the building where smoking is not prohibited. Please see Building Managers for details.
Can I pay my rent with a credit card?
No. We require all rental payments to be paid by EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer). For more information, please ask the Building Managers.

The University of British Columbia’s Point Grey campus is situated at the western edge of Vancouver, a 20-minute drive from the city’s downtown. Views abound, including Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands to the west and the North Shore Mountains to the north. The vast Pacific Spirit Regional Park serves as a greenbelt between the UBC campus and Vancouver.

In the past 15 years, UBC has become home to a vibrant residential community, “University Town,” with a collection of eight distinct neighbourhoods, each with its own charm that offers a mix of amenities to meet just about every everyday need.

Ideally situated just two blocks from UBC’s east-west thoroughfare, Chancellor Court sits literally at the doorstep to this exceptional community and everything it has to offer. Coffee shops, sushi joints and Italian bistros are only a few of the restaurants handy to neighbourhood residents. Shops, banks, grocery stores and services abound, and UBC Hospital is nearby.

If it’s culture you’re after, the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts, the Museum of Anthropology and the Frederic Wood Theatre are right on campus.

In terms of recreational opportunities, the sky's the limit (or should we say, the 874 hectares of Pacific Spirit Regional Park). The UBC Aquatic Centre, Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre and University Golf Club are only a few of the facilities available to local residents. Beautiful Spanish Banks and Jericho beaches are just to the northeast and for cyclist, the area is a launch point for some of the best road-riding Vancouver has to offer.
