Burnaby’s Brentwood neighbourhood is quickly becoming one of the Lower Mainland’s most coveted residential communities. While the district is already home to numerous parks, schools, restaurants, shops and two Skytrain stations, the forthcoming transformation of Brentwood Town Centre ensures the area will only become more vibrant and livable in the coming years.

In fact, Burnaby city planners estimate that the booming Brentwood neighbourhood will grow by about 30,000 people in the next three decades.

Fortunately, in the heart of all this excitement, lies a true gem of a residential rental property within walking distance of almost everything the neighbourhood has to offer, including Brentwood Town Centre, Beecher Park and public transportation to downtown Vancouver or Simon Fraser University.

Austeville Properties’ Brentlawn Towers consists of two residential rental high rises situated in a park-like setting of its own, complete with a large outdoor swimming pool and a play area for children. The rental apartment complex has 192 one bedroom + den and two bedroom spacious suites, ranging from 800 to 966 sq ft.

Over the past two years Austeville has performed a complete facelift on the property’s exterior and interior common areas. Inside, every aspect—from the lobbies to the elevators, corridors and even suite doors—has been modernized. Outside the 15- and 17-storey towers, the entire envelope has been redone, including concrete revitalization, painting, and updated glass and aluminum dividers on every balcony.

It’s all part of Austeville’s commitment to quality updates to its rental properties, and it’s why so many Austeville residents stay in their rental homes for decades.

Take Konnie and Joe de Jesus; they lived at Burnaby’s Brentlawn Towers for 14 years before they were approached by Austeville and asked to manage the building.

Now they are the full-time, in-house building managers at Brentlawn—part of a management team that’s available seven-days a week, 24 hours a day to serve residential tenants.

“People love living at Brentlawn,” says Joe. “It’s a very quiet, family-friendly place—in fact we have had three new babies born here in the last four months.”

Asked what appeals so much to residents, Joe explains, “The suites are really large and bright, with huge, over-sized windows and they all have at least one balcony and lots of them have beautiful views. Plus, Austeville is so tenant oriented. The complex is extremely safe and clean and the facilities are constantly being improved.”
